IANYS aims to stimulate and facilitate the exchange of information about national youth service (NYS), and to help realise the promise of national youth service. More details.

About national youth service

The concept of "national youth service", or NYS, is increasingly taking a place alongside education and work as an activity for young people that is constructive in itself and an investment in the future.

Seven global conferences on national youth service have been held to date.

The conferences, held every two years, provide a snapshot on developments in national youth service initiatives around the globe.

For examples of national youth service in action, see: vignettes about national youth service
