The Impact of National Youth ServiceThe 7th Global Conference of IANYS is to convene on Monday, August 23, 2004 at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra, Ghana. President J. A. Kuffour of the Republic of Ghana is to give the official welcome and opening address. Pre-conference tours of historic, environmental, and scientific interest will be conducted on August 21 and 22. The 7 GC is to conclude on August 27.The theme of the 7 GC is: The Impact of National Youth Service. The program will include plenary, panel discussions, workshops, and site visits. All sessions will be wholly participatory. The conference host is the Ghana National Service Scheme (GNSS), Boniface Gambila, Director. The 7 GC coordinator is Ruby Armstrong-Mensah. Registration fee is $US120. The GNSS has identified several hotels in Accra; their room rates range from US$40 to US$135 per night.
